Physical training of a hockey player
In hockey, it is methodologically and pedagogically appropriate to divide physical training into general, specialized and special.
General physical training of a hockey player is the foundation, the necessary basis for high results. It mainly ensures the solution of the following tasks:
Comprehensive harmonious development of the hockey player's body, a comprehensive increase in its functional capabilities.
Increasing the level of health.
Ensuring active rest during periods of intense training and competitive loads.
General physical training should take place in the training of hockey players of all levels, from beginners to great masters, but its share in the integral training is largely determined by the player's qualifications. In addition, at the stage of higher sports mastery, it is more targeted and specialized. It is important to note that many means of general physical training are more effective in developing qualities that are very important for hockey players than means of special physical training.
Specialized physical training is carried out, like general, in a gym, arena or sports ground. It has a narrower and more specific focus and is designed to solve the following problems:
Primary development of those qualities that are more specific to hockey.
Selective development of those muscle groups that are largely involved in the main hockey movements.
Special physical training of a hockey player is carried out mainly on the ice of a hockey field and is aimed at developing the most important motor qualities in the structure of motor skills, i.e. directly in the main movements of a hockey player performed in game activities.
