CHANDIGARH: On Thursday, Ireland's ambassador to India, Kevin Kelley, and his delegation had a meeting with Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya. The governor placed a strong emphasis on enhancing research, technology, agriculture, and education-related collaboration between Haryana and Ireland. Kelley noted that an increasing number of Indian students—roughly 12,000—have applied to study in Ireland. He commended the smooth running of the Lok Sabha elections and India's electoral system. The team was briefed by Dattatraya about the cultural legacy of Haryana, especially the importance of Kurukshetra. The gathering ended with a gift exchange, during which Dattatraya gave each guest a shawl and an idol of Lord Shri Krishna.
